Cleopatra Selene II — Cleopatra VII's Forgotten Daughter
[Ralph Ellis maintains that Cleopatra Selene would have been the half sister of Queen Thea Muse Ourania of the Parthian Empire — an illegitimate daughter of Caesar and Cleopatra who was given to a Parthian King and who subsequently became Queen. Her daughter, Helena, became Queen of Edessa and defacto Queen of Judea, and history remembers her as Mary, mother of Jesus.]

EASTER OFFERINGS
As with most of our holidays, we had family rituals and there was always an after-Church Easter egg hunt at my grandmother's house with a big Sunday dinner. And usually I'd have my own fanatical side hustle going on because I'd be swept up in some MGM confection in my head with imaginings of the Easter telecast of one of the following three icons:
"SAMSON AND DELILAH" (1949)
"WIZARD OF OZ" (1939)

"THE TEN COMMANDMENTS" (1956)
For many years, "The Wizard of Oz" was the Easter favorite and it aired reliably — and I would be beside myself for the whole week in advance in a drunken cloud of anticipation. I liked Samson a lot, too, and Charlton, of course. When you think of Moses, you think of Charlton Heston. To me the Biblical stories were as magical as anything out of Hollywood and I found them enormously appealing.
